As a woman in her mid-30's, I was hesitant to even sign up for a service like IJL. It seemed somewhat 'desperate,' but after prodding from a few girlfriends & some deep soul searching about what was really important to me, I signed up for IJL in fall 2005. I met Stacey for dinner on March 21, 2006. When IJL called me fro the pre-date briefing, I didn't have high hopes for a good outcome. Stacey did not seam to fit the profile of what I was looking for. To my surprise, the dinner went very well despite our dramatic differences in background; Stacey bein a graduate holding a masters degree, working in the corporate world and me with a degree from the school of hard knocks, having built a small business from the ground up. We found that we had a lot in common and very similar desires for our lives. I think our attraction towards each other also grew in part because of our differences. Meeting Stacey has been the greatest thing that's happened to me. We're engaged to be married on May 3, 2008. I'm so glad to have come across It's Just Lunch. It's made my dreams come true!
